I wanted to capture the feel and scent of the pine-tree-lined roads, the sweetness of carob trees and the subtle whiff of chlorine - taking me back to those peaceful afternoons that seemed to last forever. The location in which this picture is based sat in near silence but for the humming of the telegraph poles, the rustling of flora, twice-daily whirring of pool pumps twice a day and the distant giggling of children from nearby properties.
