Octagonal Hall is an early contemplative work exploring many different stages of life — including the poor choices, the highs, brushes with danger and the quiet wisdom gathered through these experiences. This was the first professional piece I did.

My technique and visual style may have evolved since 2018, but the central idea behind this painting is a mature and unchanged one which remains an enduring theme within my ongoing work — one that continues to resonate deeply with my own life, and hopefully with those who view it.

Despite my fondness for this picture, my artistic journey continues, and I need to make room for newer paintings.
