Oil on stretched canvas | W60.1cm x H50.8cm | White floating wood frame
Artist comment:
“I imagined a composition of a garden and pool at night, inspired by the gardens of the Costa Blanca and evoking the stillness and quiet peace found after dark. It recalls summer nights abroad in childhood - lying awake in gentle anticipation of the day to come - a sense of security and quiet joy.”

Acrylic on canvas board | W80cm x H80cm | Surrounded by Spanish peseta coins on a wood frame/mount
Artist comment:
"I wanted to capture the feel and scent of the pine-tree-lined roads, the sweetness of carob trees and the subtle whiff of chlorine - taking me back to the afternoons that seemed to last forever. The location in which this picture is based sat in near silence but for the humming of the telegraph poles, the rustling of flora, twice-daily whirring of pool pumps twice a day and the distant giggling of children from nearby properties."

I explore the raw, ordinary nature of a curb in a Spanish urbanisation, reflecting on themes of the past and moving on.

Acrylic on canvas board | W60cm x H80cm | Black and white gold painted frame
Artist comment:
"Dreamy and surreal piece, which explores how one might see their aspirations while suppressed by others and oblivious to their own capabilities and place in the world. The picture symbolises a significant marker in a spiritual journey which others may also recognise in theirs."

Acrylic on canvas board | W74.8cm x H48.3cm | Black and red painted wood frame
Artist comment:
“A room filled with doors - some open, some blocked - alongside stairways and veiled entrances. Three doors remain out of view. The center of the hall invites contemplation, a space to embrace how our perspectives shift with age. Here, introspection and creativity converge, and facing past choices brings vulnerability, which in turn promotes personal growth.”

Artist comment:
An exploration of the transience of nature and cultural norms. This is an imagined street—wet and grey—yet its inhabitants share a quiet cohesion, and the joy of spring being just around the corner.

“Americana ‘Variegata’, part of the agave family and found throughout the Mediterranean, instantly takes me back to the gardens, rocky mountains, and roadsides of southern Spain.”

Artist comment:
"Many private dwellings in the Costa Blanca were left half-built and abandoned in the late eighties —often the result of haphazard planning approvals. My sister and I loved exploring them when we were children, marvelling at how nature made a home of them. Bats rested in the darker covered areas; their ears twitching as we sheepishly peered inside. Praying mantises perched on long strands of grass, waiting for prey, while lizards scurried and ripples appeared in the green water as we approached. The starkness of these sites contrasts sharply with the beautiful homes built just feet away."

An opening curation of paintings spanning two distinct bodies of work: one drawn from dreamy, symbolic, and surreal settings; the other rooted in nostalgic memories of quiet Mediterranean gardens and pools.
